Summer Volunteering 2007
This past summer, members of Bergen County Academies China Care traveled to China, where they volunteered for two weeks at The China Care Home in Beijing. They were able to experience the Chinese orphan situation first-hand by interacting with the orphans daily. For many members, this was an exciting first time for them to hold and feed a baby. By also playing a role in the children's education and developmental stimulation, members were able to directly contribute to improving the lives of these children. Not only did they further their understanding of China's orphan situation, but they also developed an even greater passion for their cause.
